North Coast Distributor Social a Big Success
I was lucky enough to attend the North Coast Fastener Association's Distributor Social and am happy to report that it was a great success. There were approximately 200 people in attendance - a mix of distributor employees an employees of many of the suppliers who sponsored the event. Beer and appetizers were complimentary to any distributor employee who attended and by all accounts everyone had a good time.
One of the comments that was frequently repeated was that it was good to get together with others from the industry just to hear that other companies were going through similar challenges during these economic times. There was a strong sentiment expressed by many attendees that they would like to see this type of gathering repeated.
The NCFA Social was not a trade show or a table-top show. The gathering was held in a big, open room with an attached outdoor patio area. Attendees mingled freely networking with everyone else in the room. There was plenty of space for people to have some privacy if they needed it.
A great job by NCFA President George Hunt and the board of the NCFA.

Kudos to the North Coast Fastener Association!
We hope to see everyone who was at the recent Social in Cleveland...along with hundreds more fastener manufacturers, distributors, importers, sales reps and others at the 30th National Industrial Fastener Show/East, May 25-26, 2010 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, Columbus, Ohio.
We are planning a big welcoming reception for the night before the show opens and EVERYONE is invited.
Things are looking good for both the 2009 West Show in Las Vegas and next year's exhibition in Columbus.
The 'Vegas Show is filling up and we already have ten (10) companies signed up for exhibit space in Columbus next May.
We hope to see many of you November 16-18 in Las Vegas. Some exciting new things have been planned including a pre-Show factory tour of Vegas Fasteners and a Poker Tournament immediately following the big welcoming reception. Also, we are holding the welcoming reception in the front of the exhibit hall so it will have the look and feel of a Show Kick-Off.
Watch your mail and our web site at www.fastenershows.com for complete info and registration form.
Let's get this economy and the fastener business back on track!
